JEC and MATERIALICA- Partnership for COMPOSITES
JEC goes COMPOSITES: The JEC is the world’s leading Trade Fair in the Composites industry. Scheduled every year in spring in Paris, it is the meeting-point for industrial decision-makers of the composites industry. Henceforward, JEC will be reinforced through a new partnership with the COMPOSITES show in Munich. The COMPOSITES takes place every year in autumn in parallel to the MATERIALICA. This will be the symbol of a well grounded partnership and a professional exchange on a large scale.
In view of the influence of the COMPOSITES in the German-speaking area, a cooperation with the JEC was probable. Furthermore, a great number of user-companies from the Automotive and Aerospace industry have their headquarters in the city of Munich and its neighbouring cities. The German-speaking area and the growing economies of the Eastern Europe represent a prospective market for the composites industry. Products from the value added chain are considered as innovative and trend-setting products.
Through this yearly meeting point in spring in Paris then in autumn in Munich, these two events bring together leading industry professionals at an interactive platform insofar they are not competitors but they complete themselves to create an important synergy. Therefore, this will be interesting for composites manufacturers to widen their business opportunities and to optimize their chances to export to Germany as well as in the growing markets of the Eastern Europe.
In October 12th 2006 the JEC will present for the first time on the MATERIALICA forum from 9. - 12 AM the “Innovative Composite Design” and demonstrate it on a stand on the COMPOSITES 2006. Likewise, a closed collaboration was set up in the marketing activities. Henceforward, both magazines JEC and MATERIALICA act as information tools in the composites industry.
According to Robert Metzger, Managing Director of MunichExpo Veranstaltungs GmbH and organizer of COMPOSITES & MATERIALICA Trade Fairs, “Thanks to this partnership the JEC will benefit from the influence of COMPOSITES in the German-speaking area”.
As part of the MATERIALICA (10th – 12th October 2006) – 9th International Trade Fair for Material Applications, Surface Technology and Product Engineering COMPOSITES will be presented in Hall C4 in the new Munich Trade Fair Centre. The organizer expects about 350 international exhibitors. Companies such as 3M, Alcan Composites, Bayer Material Science, Hexcel Composites, Becker Carbon, Cotesa, Crosslink, Cobra, CarboTech, ContiTech, Fischer CT, Graphtech, Isavolta, Lapinus, Merck, Parabeam or SGL Carbon have already signed as exhibitors for COMPOSITES 2006.
